Air
We all desire to live and work in an environment, where the air is composed of only what nature intended. This is not always the case.
Environmental Requirements
There are many discharges of contaminants into the natural environment. The Provincial and Federal governments are responsible for regulating the discharge of pollutants, and have legislated limits for many contaminants. You are required by law to obtain a permit to discharge any contaminant that may produce any adverse affect to the natural environment.
Health and Safety Requirements
There are many potential sources of harmful substances within the workplace environment. The Occupational Health and Safety Act prescribes acceptable levels of worker exposure in regards to substances within the workplace. Worker exposure to harmful substances may produce adverse health effects, loss of productivity, work refusals, and Ministry of Labour Orders.
